LO-Highligts

Hi out there, welcome to our this weeks LO-highlights.

Did you discover SO's new pin board gallery? It's such a fun to strive through all those great layouts.

This week I found two (or three ;o) ) wonderful pages.

The first page I found was posted by Skippyherron. She used Chelle's cute mini-kit Little Stinker:

This page is so cute not only because of the sweet guinea pigs. I really love what she did with this kit, absolutely fantastic work.

Sunday Tutorial-Creating a Composite Layer

I recently learned a shortcut that was so brilliant and yet so simple-I'm sure many of you already know it but I never did! It's creating a composite layer. For example, if you're editing an image and added a texture layer and you now want to add that photo to a layout, you can create a composite layer without having to flatten your photo or deal with extra layers when adding to your layout.

Here's a picture that I want to edit before adding to a layout. 

 Here's the picture once I ran an action. It would be a pain to drag it all down to the layout and I don't always want to flatten it, especially if I'd like to come back and adjust something. It's just easier than undoing things. To create the composite layer, press Ctr/Cmd  +alt/opt + shift + E (a nice workout for your fingers!).

Ta-da! A new layer with the edited image. All you need to do is highlight the layer and drag it down to your layout. I had no idea this existed and I was too excited once I found out how it works! I hope this helps make your editing and scrapping a little easier.

Layout Highlights

Hey everyone! If you are in the galleries at Scrap Orchard frequently, you may have seen the new ScrapPin gallery that they debuted last week. I love it! It's a Pinterest for digital scrapbooking. Such a neat idea and I encourage you to sign up and start sharing. It's a great way to organize your challenge layouts, favorite kits and designers, techniques to learn, favorite layouts, and even organize your own layouts by designer or theme. Seriously awesome!!!

Sunday helper - easy forum posting with firefox

Oh my gosh, it's sunday again and here we are for another episode of our sunday helper.

Which browser are you using for surfing and forum chatting? Are you a firefox fan as I am? I absolutely looooooove my firefox. There are so many great and useful add-ons out there and one of them is BBCodeXtra.

BBCodeXtra is an extension, which adds to the context menu new commands to insert BBCode/Html/XHtml codes in an easy and fast way.

BBCodeXtra suits well with all forum types, for example:

* phpBB
* Invision
* VBullettin

This extension can really simplify your life with all forums that use BBCode (as Scraporchard does) or Html codes when posting new messages.
